Features of Angora
Shawl:
Angora shawls are usually crafted by mixing them with some other types
of wool known as semi-Angora shawls. For example their warp is of merino
wool whereas the weft is of Angora wool. Semi-Angora shawls are
available both in plain and patterned styles.
Types of Semi-Angora Shawl:
Semi Angora shawls are available in various types like:
- Semi-Angora Plain Shawls: These shawls are very soft,
warm and lightweight. They are available in various shades of color
and are very popular.
- Silk Angora Shawls: In this type, silk makes the warp and
pure Angora forms the weft. They are also used to give a feeling of
warmth to the wearer and are available in vast array of colours.
- Semi-Angora Shawls with pattern: Warp and weft of these
shawls resemble the Semi-Angora plain shawls. They are mostly
available in geometrical patterns made on both the ends. These
patterns are made with chemical color dye or vegetable dyed acrylic/
pure wool threads.
